(Fall 2014)

East Building 134

Section Information for Fall 2014

The Advanced Workshop is a seminar.  This is a familiar format in which we discuss three sometimes four narratives a week and I meet with each student individually following the class discussion.  I ask that each of you come to the first class in August with a personal design for the semester and a brief essay about your own work, how you see your work in the larger landscape of contemporary fiction, what you are hoping to accomplish as a writer in general, whose work you admire, what team you can imagine joining.  So you'll be bringing to class a three to five page piece about your work and your future, carefully considered.
