Section Information for Spring 2019
This courses’ aim is intensive study of the craft of fiction through selected texts and writing assignments. The course will provide a setting in which students become familiar with fiction’s many forms and styles; students will further define their voices as writers and learn to critically regard their own work as well as the work of colleagues. Through weekly workshops stories will be discussed and critiqued and revised. Exemplary stories from renowned authors will be discussed. Selected authors: Zadie Smith, Yiyun Lee, Sarah Hall, Teju Cole, and many more.
Credits: 1-6
Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.
Enrollment is limited to students with a major in Creative Writing.
Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
