Mary Baldwin-Slupe is the Grants and Program Coordinator for the English Department. She is the financial manager for grants awarded to English and Linguistics faculty, and she provides program support to key GMU English programs such as the Northern Virginia Writing Project, Fall for the Book, and The Alan Cheuse International Writers Center, among others.
When she isn't working or researching, Mary can be found knitting, baking, or playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Mary graduated with her M.A in Linguistics from George Mason University in 2017. Her research interests include language (dys)function, disability narratives, linguistic justice, horror literature, the analysis of therapeutic discourse, and all the complex sociocultural intersections between those topics.
