Mika Endo

Virginia History, American Indian History, 20th Century U.S., and Museum Studies

Mika Endo earned her B.A. and M.A. at Doshisha University and her PhD in history at George Mason University. Her PhD dissertation titled "Redefining Race: Virginia’s Racial Integrity Act of 1924 and American Indian Identification” explores the implementation of the 1924 Act and the damage to indigenous communitiesas well as how Native Americans reacted against the law and fought to claim their racial identity as Indians. She is pursuing her teaching career as an instructor at the Department of History and INTO Mason at George Mason University. She is passionate in teaching history to both domestic and international students.
