A Special Message from the English Department Chair

A Special Message from the English Department Chair
Dear Students:

The English Department faculty have been busy redesigning your courses for on-line instruction for the rest of the semester. We’re disappointed that we won’t be on campus, but the faculty are doing their best to minimize the disruption of Covid-19 on your education.

As you return to your studies this week, please know that communication with instructors is essential. If you have an issue with the technology or course content, be sure to reach out to your professors by email or request a videoconference or phone call.

The English department staff will also be telecommuting. You can reach them by email at english@gmu.edu or by phone: 703-993-1170.

If at any time you find need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at dshutika@gmu.edu or 703-993-1182.

Most importantly, please take time to take care of yourself. University Life Vice President Rose Pascarell shared available resources for the Mason community. Please take advantage of these and other university resources, and continue to practice social distancing, wash your hands, and get plenty of rest.

Know that we are thinking of you and your families.

Sincerely,

Debra Lattanzi Shutika
