Janalyn Miklas, PhD candidate in linguistics, was recently selected as a winner of the Best Student Poster Award in Speech Communication at the 188th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in New Orleans, LA. Her poster was titled "A pilot corpus acoustic analysis on the alveolar tap in Turkish."
This conference is the premier venue for scientific research in acoustics, and this meeting was held jointly with the 25th International Congress on Acoustics. The award was selected based on scores from a jury of experts. Miklas's winning poster can be viewed on GMU's MARS repository. We look forward to seeing more of her great work!
