McKinley Green and Munira Muttmaina win prestigious award for journal article

George Mason University Writing and Rhetoric Doctoral candidate Munira Mutmainna recently won the Edwina L. Sanders Award for Outstanding Work on the Rhetoric of Health Inequities for an article she coauthored with Mason English professor McKinley Green. The article, titled “Methodologies and inequities: Participatory and narrative approaches to research with marginalized communities,” was published in Rhetoric of Health & Medicine in 2024. Munira is currently working towards her dissertation on immigrant health rhetoric and communication in the U.S. setting. Congratulations to Munira, McKinley, and their coauthors!
