All riders start out together traveling west on the W&OD path. We'll all have lunch together at Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Restaurant (http://www.anitascorp.com/), which is just off the bike path in Herndon.
Those on the 20 mile ride return to Vienna after lunch. Those on the 70 mile ride continue west on the trail to its end in Purcellville, then return to Vienna (with perhaps another food stop on the way back). 20-mile riders should anticipate a mid-afternoon return. 70-mile riders should anticipate a return time in the late afternoon to early evening.
Professor Tamara Harvey will lead the 20 mile ride. Professor Robert Matz will lead the 70 mile ride.
