Global Film Club Screenings and discussions Oct 22 and 27

1. Entre Nos (Paola Mendoza, Gloria La Morte 2009) Thurs 10/22 6pm, JC Gold Room. A Colombian emigrant (Paola Mendoza) and her two children (Sebastian Villada Lopez, Laura Montana Cortez) struggle to survive after her husband (Andres Munar) abandons them in New York.

 

 

2. A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (Ana Lily Amirpour 2014). Tues 10/27 7pm. JC Room C. The first Iranian made Western: residents of a worn-down Iranian city encounter a skateboarding vampire (Sheila Vand) who preys on men who disrespect women.

 

 

Both events free and open to the public, with free pizza provided.
