AI and Technical Writing

This session will be led by program director, Dr. Heidi Lawrence, and PhD Candidate Kathryn Meeks, who will discuss basic skills to integrate AI tools into your writing process. We will discuss ways that technical writers can optimize ChatGPT, including customizing your ChatGPT user profile, for better results. The session will also include tips for effective prompting in any large language model (text-based) generative AI platform. The session will then include information about our graduate programs and professional development offerings and ample time for Q&A.
