Section Information for Spring 2013

Description: This is a 3-credit capstone course for the MA Programs in Literature, Cultural Studies, and Teaching of Writing and Literature, taken in the last year of the student’s curriculum. In this course you will develop and revise work you did for another course into a potentially publishable article or disciplinarily relevant written project while reinforcing and developing research and writing skills central to these degree programs. Revising your course paper will require substantial research and revision, undertaken in consultation with the course instructor and your area specialists (likely the professor for whom you wrote the initial paper). Because of the tight revision schedule, you will need to be actively researching and revising your paper from the very beginning of the semester. Class meetings will focus on building research skills treated in ENGH 701, discussing a range of topics related to professionalization with attention to the specific professional aims of class members, and revising work in a workshop environment.

ENGH 790 001 enrollment is controlled. Contact the instructor for approval to register via Patriot Web.
