YJ (she/her) is an MFA student in fiction at George Mason University, where she works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and as Assistant Fiction Editor of So to Speak. A former economist, she has fiction in Orca, Typehouse, and Atlas and Alice. She has written mostly speculative fiction focusing on the Korean and queer communities. The idiot doctor wouldn’t let me add a skin graft while I was under. “You’re too young,” he said, “legally. And even if you came back on your nineteenth birthday, we’d recommend you hold off till you’re older, Jihye.” He sighed but I wrangled him into adding a nose job. It was the least he could do.
