As Assistant Director of the Writing Center, Dr. Massie manages the center's operations, supervises and mentors the center's staff, and teaches Advanced Composition. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Texas at Austin, where she worked as a writing center consultant and graduate student administrator for several years. Currently, with her colleagues, she is researching differences between written feedback composed by writing center consultants and written feedback generated by AI tools. In the other parts of her life, she's a violinist, songwriter, horse rescue volunteer, study group facilitator, and hiker.
