Kristen Zory King (she/her) is a Graduate Teaching Assistant and MFA student at George Mason University with a concentration in nonfiction. Originally from upstate New York, she received her bachelor’s in English and French Literature from SUNY Fredonia in 2012 and has since focused her professional career at the intersection of creativity and community, working in bookstores, community centers, and literary journals across the country. On the page, Kris is interested in creating work that explores themes of nature, the body, and spirituality, often through the lens of gender and social identity, and recent work can be found in Electric Lit, HAD, and Stanchion, among others. Off the page, Kris is also a teaching artist, yoga and Pilates instructor, and creative consultant, and can be frequently found hiking through Rock Creek Park or paddling the Potomac.
