Academics at Hogwarts
The Harry Potter Program Summer 2026 is open to all undergraduate students, including those who do not attend George Mason University. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Prerequisites include ENGH 101, a literature course or instructor permission, as well as familiarity with the Harry Potter novels and films.
To maximize students’ time in London, a portion of the coursework will be completed during June prior to departure. The program carries a 6-credit academic requirement, with students enrolling in two 3-credit courses during the study abroad.

Students will select one required English course and one additional course from a range of interdisciplinary offerings listed below.
English Options (required to choose 1):
ENGH 319: Harry Potter & Popular Culture (English Major Requirement Option) or
ENGH 309: Examining Harry Potter in Context
