Creative Writing: Film and media studies, environmental studies, ecopoetry, queer poetry, queer studies, gender and identity studies.

Eli Vandegrift is a Graduate Teaching Assistant in GMU's Creative Writing Program. They graduated George Mason University in 2020 with a BA in English and concentrations in Cultural Studies and Creative Writing. Eli is the recipient of the 2023 Mary Roberts Rinehart Poetry Award and the 2020 Joseph A. Lohman III Award in Poetry. They have attended the Berlin Writers Workshop in Berlin, Germany, and the Juniper Writing Institute in Amherst, Massachusetts. Their work is featured or forthcoming in Passages North, Bellingham Review, Barren, The Academy of American Poets, Portland Review, beestung, among others. They are also the Editor-in-Chief for GMU's intersectional literary magazine, So To Speak.
