Rafaella Silva is the Graduate Admissions Outreach Manager for the English department and a second-year English MA student with a concentration in Cultural Studies.
In 2020, she graduated from Florida State University with a BA in English: Editing, Writing, and Media and a minor in education. During undergrad, she dedicated all possible classes to exploring literature from the American South. Her current research interests revolve around fan studies, queer studies, horror films, and internet media culture. Rafaella is also the English MA Representative for GMU's GAPSA (Graduate and Professional Student Association). In her free time, she is probably hiding underneath a blanket watching campy horror movies with her cats Binx and Luna and her turtle Jon Snow.
