Constance Sayers, 1998

Constance Sayers, MA English '98, is the president and chief revenue officer (CRO) of GovExec where she leads all revenue and sales associated with the media brands and data platforms.
She has previously served as vice-president of National Journal (Atlantic Media) where she developed the company’s 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections and Conventions programs and produced events with MSNBC and CBS News. She has also held marketing and membership positions at CQ/Roll, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, State Department Federal Credit Union, and the American Physical Therapy Association. Twice, she was named to Folio’s annual list of innovators, “Folio 100,” and their “Top Women in Media.”
She is the author of three best-selling novels published by Hachette: A Witch in Time (2020), The Ladies of the Secret Circus (2021), and The Star and the Strange Moon (2023). Her work has been translated into seven languages.
In addition to her master's work at George Mason, Sayers graduated magna cum laude with a BA in writing from the University of Pittsburgh (’90). She splits her time between Alexandria, Virginia and West Palm Beach, Florida.
